TRON address format: Base58Check explained

TRON uses Base58Check encoding for all wallet addresses. The address is derived from an secp256k1 key pair, identical to Ethereum. The 0x41 version byte ensures every address starts with T after Base58 encoding.

Trusted & professional company

Every valid TRON address is exactly 34 Base58Check characters, mathematically required to begin with capital T.

address generation process

How a TRON address is generated in 4 steps

01

Generate private key

Generate a random 64-hex-char secp256k1 private key.
02

Derive public key

Compute the public key from the private key on the secp256k1 curve.
03

Keccak-256 hash

Take the last 20 bytes of Keccak-256(public key) and prepend 0x41.
04

Base58Check encode

Double SHA256 checksum and Base58 encode to produce the 34-char T-prefixed address.
